Councillor expenses

Councillors are entitled to be reimbursed for expenses and support needed to perform their duties as elected representatives of the community under the Local Government Act 2020. 

The City of Kingston Councillor Support and Reimbursement of Expenses Policy outlines the resources and support Councillors are provided with and the expenses that may be claimed.

As part of this policy, and ongoing transparency, Council publishes its reimbursement of Councillor expenses:

• in the Annual Report
• on the council website on a quarterly basis.
