Lunch boxes and their lids are made from a reusable plastic and if damaged should be placed into your landfill bin (red lid).

Please consider donating before disposing if in good condition.

Place any plastic or glass medicine bottles/containers in your recycling bin (yellow lid).

Please ensure containers are empty of any medicine or liquids.

Junk mail, including paper flyers or brochures, can be placed in your recycling bin (yellow lid).

Both glossy and matte paper items can be put in your recycling bin.

Mobile phones are an e-waste item and cannot be placed into any household bin.

Shredded paper has a high chance of falling off the conveyor belts at the Materials Recovery Facility.

Please try to avoid shredding paper if possible and instead:

  • cross out any personal details using a marker
  • rip the paper into halves or quarters
  • transfer your paper bills online.

If you must shred paper, please put small amounts into other cardboard or paper items such as cereal boxes or paper envelopes before putting into your recycling bin (yellow lid).

You can also send your confidential documents for safe shredding and recycling to Send and Shred.
