Grass clippings from your lawn or garden are a natural material and can be placed in your food and garden waste bin (green lid).
Avoid putting too much wet grass into your bin as it can make it too heavy and may not be collected.
Weeds and their seeds are fine to go in the food and garden waste bin as pasteurisation during the composting process kills any bacteria or pathogens.
