Risk Minimisation and Communication Plan
Why your child needs a Risk Minimisation and Communication Plan
The Education and Care Services National Law requires Outside of School Hours Services to ‘ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect children from harm and hazards likely to cause injury’ (Section 167). Where a child has a diagnosed medical condition or specific health care need, we assess the risks associated with your child when attending the program by completing this Risk Minimisation Plan. The following procedures are developed in consultation with the family and implemented to help protect the child. (Education and Care Services National Regulations June 2014, Regulation 90, Medical Conditions Policy)
As a parent/guardian you are required to work with our team to:
- Complete this Risk Minimisation and Communication Plan
- Discuss and agree to the plan
- Review the plan and update it bi-annually or when there are changes.
