The Southern Road Reserve has upgraded both its sporting facilities, for all gender use, and provided a new play space with equipment and activities for all ages.
A new pavilion and community building for the oval provides new changerooms, toilets, showers, storage facilities, medical room, social space and offices for local teams and community use.
The new playground comprises various connected wooden structures with slides, climbing walls, tunnels, sliding pole and distortion mirror, with separate swings, see-saw, sandpit, springers, balance beams and stepping discs.
In addition, a new shelter with tables and BBQ, seating and drinking fountain in a landscaped area provides a local community socialising space.
