The Aspendale Foreshore Precinct comprises a three kilometre stretch of wide, flat sandy beach, with low sand dunes and grass dotted with historic beach huts.
The beach is only 200m from Aspendale train station, with an accessible ticketed car park, boardwalk, shower, and toilet, benches and picnic tables.
Aspendale beach is patrolled by the Aspendale Life Saving Club, with an off-leash dog area.
