Work continues on a program of major works to improve the local drainage network in Edithvale, which aims to minimise the impact of severe weather events.

This program aims to improve drainage in the northern part of Edithvale.

Initial works commenced in 2015 and we are now commencing work on Stage 5.

These works have included:

  • The construction of large pipes and pumps through Edithvale Common during 2018. This has significantly improved the stormwater outlet for this catchment.
  • Major drainage works along the northern end of Kinross Avenue during 2021, and
  • Major drainage works along Keith Avenue as part of road renewal works along a section of Montrose Avenue in 2023.

We are now commencing work to reconstruct the road and undertake major drainage works between 100 Lochiel Avenue and 111 Kinross Avenue, Edithvale.
