We are pleased to share that the Chelsea Men’s Shed will soon have a permanent home at 71 Catherine Avenue, Chelsea. Council has appointed builder Simbuilt to refurbish the former Chelsea Kindergarten building to create the new home for the Men’s Shed.
Kingston Council is investing $1.3 million in the project and welcomes the partnership with the Victorian Government ($80,000) and the Men’s Shed ($40,000) to complete the works.
This new space will provide an opportunity for the local community to connect, socialise and participate in meaningful wellbeing and recreational activity. Men’s sheds do a variety of activities and an important element of any Men’s Shed is a functional workshop space, offering a range of equipment and safe conditions for members to hone their existing skills or learn new ones.
