We’re committed to making all of Council’s operations Net Zero by 2025! As part of our annual Rooftop Solar Initiative, we’re delivering a storage room, solar panels, and batteries at Bonbeach Sports Complex.
This project will protect the Bonbeach Sports Complex (which acts as Kingston’s Relief Centre during an emergency) against power losses.
The project is staged into 3 phases:
Solar panels, batteries and inverters installation will commence towards the end of September and is expected to be completed within a fortnight. Work will take place between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
During this period, a section of the car park and the driveway along the car park will be temporarily closed and allocated to the builder to facilitate the works safely. There will be minimal disruption during construction and all other car parks and driveways will remain accessible.
