New Kingston Council announced

Results for the 2024 Kingston Council elections have been announced with 3 councillors re-elected and 8 new faces joining the 11-member Council.
The Victorian Electoral Commission, which conducted the elections, officially declared the results today.
The successful candidates are:
Banksia Ward – Chris Howe
Bunjil Ward – Tony Athanasopoulos
Caruana Ward – Caroline White
Chicquita Ward – Jane Agirtan
Como Ward – Chris Hill
Karkarook Ward – Hadi Saab
Longbeach Ward – Georgina Oxley
Melaleuca Ward – Tess Law
Sandpiper Ward – Kirralee Ashworth-Collett
Wattle Ward – Georgia Erevnidis
Yammerbook Ward – Sarah O’Donnell
City of Kingston CEO Peter Bean congratulated the newly elected councillors.
“I want to welcome our new councillors and congratulate those who have been re-elected to Council. I’m looking forward to working with all of them to achieve great things for Kingston over the next 4 years,” Mr Bean said.
The new Kingston Council will serve the community for a four-year term until October 2028.
The Councillors will be sworn in, elect a Mayor, and consider the office of Deputy Mayor at a meeting on Wednesday 13 November at 7.00pm.
