Are you the next Artistic Director for Mordi Fest?

Since 1997, Mordi Fest has been Kingston’s premier festival routinely attracting 40,000 visitors to the Mordialloc foreshore across the first weekend in March.

The festival program highlights multiple genres, showcasing well-known artists alongside local and emerging acts.

Our Festivals and Events Team are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals or organisations to develop the artistic program for Mordi Fest 2025 to be held on 1&2 March at Peter Scullin Reserve.

The role will commence next month, with the successful applicant to drive the artistic vision of the festival, book and negotiate artist performance fees, and develop and schedule a rich program that is respectful of past events, attracts local and visiting audiences, and builds the reputation of the region’s premier music festival. 

The key responsibilities of the Artistic Director will include:

• Developing a solid and cohesive artistic vision
• Curating and booking artists across three performance stages
• Negotiating performance fees
• Formulating performance schedules
• Liaising with artists throughout the planning and delivery of the festival
• Collaborating with Kingston’s Festivals and Events team to bring the event to life
