Introduction

Zee Cheng Khor Moral Uplifting Society (ZCK), established in 2002, promotes world harmony through moral education and interfaith dialogue. As the Melbourne chapter of De Jiao, "Teaching of Virtues", we are guided by the De Jiao Xin Dian. Our slogan is: "Rejoice in the success of others. For it prevents resentment and imparts hatred against others, leading to a more harmonious society," enhancing social cohesion and societal harmony in our diverse community.

 

Key Teachings

ZCK emphasises the following core teachings:

Ten Virtues:

  1. Filial Piety: Give unconditional love to our parents, care for them, and respect them with gratitude.
  2. Brotherly Love: Brothers and sisters should love each other and live in harmony. Treat everyone like our brothers and sisters.
  3. Loyalty: Love our country and our people. Discharge our duties and responsibilities to serve our nation and society.
  4. Sincerity: Keep your words and promises. Be trustworthy and responsible to earn respect.
  5. Courtesy: Nurture the young and respect the elders. Treat others with humility and respect.
  6. Justice: Carry out your duties with fairness and impartiality. Just follow the truth.
  7. Honesty: Live a pure and simple life, untarnished by material desire. Self-contentment is the key to happiness.
  8. Sense of Honour: Do not succumb to human frailty. Be righteous and courageous to right the wrongs and lead a noble life.
  9. Humanity: Respect the aged and be generous to the poor. Compassion and love will always benefit humanity.
  10. Wisdom: Enrich your knowledge with history and current affairs. Be able to differentiate between good and evil.
