Mordialloc Sailing Club was officially established in its present location in the late 1950s and it has connections with sailing at Mordialloc since the 1890s. Originally located on the island as part of the Mordialloc Motor Yacht Club, it broke away to form its own club in 1946. It has a history that includes 12 square metre Sharpie sailing and Olympic representation. The honour boards displayed within the clubrooms attest to the rich history of sailing at Mordialloc
Today the club is family orientated with a commitment to advancing and promoting off the beach sailing. Among the classes actively sailed at Mordialloc are Sharpies, Sabres, Lasers,Open Skiffs and Pacers.
