The annual Wedding Bush Festival is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our natural bushland when native flowers bloom. Join us for a guided walk, free sausage sizzle, and take home a free indigenous plant!
The Wedding Bush's spectacular, starry, white petals were once common across Kingston. Few people will see this iconic plant today, and it is virtually impossible to propagate and grow in gardens. However, it grows at The Grange and is a beautiful sight throughout October!
The Grange Heathland is one of Kingston's 'environmental jewels', set aside for its high conservation value and the diversity of flora and fauna it supports. Supporting more than 230 species of indigenous plants across four different Ecological Vegetation Classes, The Grange also provides suitable habitat (food and shelter) for various birds, insects, frogs, and reptiles.
