Get ready for some excitement! Our all-ages, family-friendly Spring Fair is back for 2024 to unite the community and celebrate our diversity in a jam-packed day of fun, food, live entertainment and much more.

Join us on Saturday 19 October from 10am to 4pm at Keeley Park in Clayton South. We're showcasing a wide array of activities, games, workshops, food and beverage trucks and live entertainment.

The best part? Admission is free!

Here’s what's on offer:

  • Fun activities for everyone
  • Live music and performances on two stages
  • Food and beverage trucks—or feel free to bring your own picnic! There will be seating, tables and plenty of lawn.
  • Community engagement. Teams from Kingston Active, Kingston Environment, Libraries, Community Hubs and more will be on hand to answer your questions

30min Cricket Workshops

Come and join our FREE 30min cricket workshops hosted by the Carnegie United Cricket Club. Learn new skills, exercise and have fun!

Workshops start at 11am, 12noon and 1pm for 30mins. Meet over at the cricket nets – all equipment provided!

Where and when is Spring Fair?

Spring Fair will be held at Keeley Park, Main Road, Clayton South on Saturday 19 October from 10am to 4pm.

Do I have to buy a ticket?

No, it is a free event.

Can I download a map or pick one up on the day?

We do not have an event map, however you can visit our information booth on the day for information.

Will I be photographed or filmed during my visit?

We will have a photographer present on the day. Please notify the photographer if you do not wish to be photographed.

Getting to the event

How do I get there on public transport?

Walking, cycling or using public transport is the best way to get to Spring Fair! You can take the 824 bus to any of the following stops:

  • Byron St/Clayton Rd
  • Brentwood Cl/Clayton Rd
  • Haughton Rd/Main Rd
  • McMillan St/Main Rd

Where do I park?

Limited street parking is available on Main Road and surrounding streets.

Accessibility

Do you have accessible parking bays and toilets and an accessible entry?

There will be a drop-off point. If you require an accessible parking bay, please speak to event staff on arrival. There is an accessible toilet and limited pathways around the event. If you require any assistance on the day, please speak to the event staff.

Is the event pram friendly?

There are paved pathways around the event, but not to every stall and/or activity.

Food and drinks

Is there food available?

Yes, there are food vendors at Spring Fair.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you can BYO food.

What to bring (and what not to bring)

What do I bring?

It is advised to bring a bottle of water and remember to wear a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses.

What can’t I bring?

  • No BYO alcohol or glass.
  • No shade structures, chairs, tables, umbrellas or tents.
  • No large-lens cameras, unless pre-arranged with event management.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes.

Kids activities

Do I have to pay for admission to go on the amusement rides?

No, all rides and activities at Spring Fair are free!

Are there age restrictions on the rides?

There are activities for all ages. Please talk to the ride supervisors on the day for ride-specific restrictions.

Performer and vendor EOIs

How do I perform or run a workshop at Spring Fair?

If you are a local artist, performer or entertainer looking for an opportunity to appear at any of our festivals and events, register your interest and join our database. We'll keep your details on file and get in touch if an opportunity comes up.

Lost kids

What is the procedure for lost kids?

There are Kingston staff, security and contractors on site, and we will help you and the little ones!

If you find a child who is lost: Take the child to the information booth or speak to a Kingston team member.

Lost a child?: Head to the information booth and the Kingston team will assist you.
