Cross-generational Filipinos and the wider Australian community meet together for companionship and cultural activities.
PEASER is a social group of Filipinos and other nationalities from the wider community, living in the southeast region of Melbourne. The association was founded in 1993 in the City of Kingston and is based at the Sundowner Centre in Clarinda.
Activities include visiting nursing homes and the sick and holding regular cultural and social events, as well as information sessions where issues such as home security and health topics are discussed. A members' dance group performs cultural dances from different regions of the Philippines, performing at functions and festivals around Melbourne and to other ethnic groups.
All are welcome to join and meet like-minded people in a family friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
For more information about the group, contact Ofelia on 9558 2740.
