Established in 1996, Planet Ark's National Tree Day has grown into Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event. The program is a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to their community.

Each year, around 300,000 people volunteer their time to engage in environmental activities that educate Australians about the world around them. While every day can be Tree Day, we dedicate the celebration of National Tree Day to the last Sunday in July.

There are many ways to get involved in greening your community and making a difference in your local environment.

Join us as we work to establish indigenous habitats for some of our unique flora and fauna while also aiming to complement the existing vegetation around Edithvale Wetlands.

Please park on Edithvale Road and then follow the granitic path north for 200 metres to reach the National Tree Day planting site.

Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and sun protection. Bring along your gloves, plenty of water and a snack.
