Kaleidoscope Kids April 2025
Come and be a Kaleidoscope kid this Autumn! Kaleidoscope is a school holiday arts program that encourages creativity through active learning, experimentation, artistic creation, and fun. Developed for 5–13-year-olds, Kaleidoscope offers activities and workshops ranging from acting and music to visual arts and crafts. 
 
All sessions are guided by skilled artist-educators and supported by dedicated staff. There's something to inspire every child's imagination.

Monday 7 April

Stitch & Spin: DIY Knitting Workshop with Melissa Gaggiano

Get ready to knit up some fun with a creative fibre craft workshop with local artist Melissa Gaggiano. Kids get to transform a humble cardboard tube into a magical spool knitter. This is followed by a guided walkthrough, crating a knitted cord with the handmade spool knitter. 

Workshop: Monday 7 April, 10am - 12pm

Sing, Act, Create: A Musical Theatre Adventure with the Australian Musical Theatre Academy

Sing, act, and create with your favourite musicals in this unforgettable school holiday experience!

Children will have the chance to shine with a day of musical magic! This fun workshop invites kids to a day of musical magic where they dress as their favourite musical characters and dive into the enchanting world of musical theatre. 

Each session will explore a beloved musical: soar with the witches of Wicked, roar with the pride of The Lion King, and find your inner rebel with Matilda the Musical.

Sing along to your favourite songs, perform scenes from the show and have fun creating themed artwork inspired by the shows you love. Perfect for building confidence, developing performance skills, and sparking creativity! Whether you join us for the full day or just your favourite musical session, it's all about letting your creativity flow, picking up new skills, and having tons of fun. 

Book 1, 2 or 3 sessions*. Remember to dress as your favourite character and wear closed shoes, and bring your lunch (if attending all sessions), snacks and a bottle of water.

Admission: $25 + Booking Fee
Suitable for ages 5–13

*If attending all 3 sessions, children will be supervised for the whole day and can be collected at 4.30pm.

Paint & Play: Decorate Your Own Vinyl Art Toy with Melissa Gaggiano

Have you ever wanted to customise a toy, decorating it with your own design ideas? Join a vibrant art toy workshop with local artist Melissa Gaggiano. In this workshop, kids will unleash their creativity and passion, transforming a blank art toy into a unique, personalised masterpiece.

Paws & Paint with Rebel Stepz Arts

Calling all young artists and animal lovers! Join us for a fun-filled school holiday workshop where you'll create your very own cat or dog-themed tote bag. Whether you love fluffy kittens, playful puppies, or a mix of both, this workshop is the purr-fect place to get creative!

Mold & Magic: Craft Your Own Clay Wand with Rebel Stepz Arts

Calling all young witches, wizards, and magical beings! Step into a world of creativity as you design and craft your own enchanted wand in this spellbinding school holiday workshop. 

Using clay, paint, and a little bit of magic, you'll shape and decorate a one-of-a-kind wand that's perfect for casting spells (or just looking really cool!). Whether you want a sleek and mysterious wand, or one bursting with colour and sparkle, the choice is yours!
