Child Empowerment Package: Module 1 & Module 2 (combined)

We invite early childhood professionals to join a combined professional development session centered on empowering children through effective interaction, communication, and thoughtfully designed environments. This session will feature valuable resources, interactive breakout sessions, and open discussions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Module 1: Interactions and Communication

Child empowerment is championed when educators model respectful behaviours and provide supportive language to enable children to voice their ideas, feelings and concerns.

This module explores:

• Educators to identify, understand and model prosocial behaviors and respect
• Empowering interactions with children
• Managing conflict and challenging interactions

Module 2: Environments and Design

Educators should view children in their care as active participants in making decisions about the curriculum, routines and transitions in their environment.

This module explores:

• Creating responsive, inclusive and empowering learning environments
• Empowering children through consultation and participation
