Events and programs

Programs are a result of community input, and many are run by passionate, local volunteers. Programs and events aim to support all ages through the following:

  • Exercise programs
  • Social groups
  • Special interest groups
  • Educational groups
  • Playgroups and children's programs
  • Child immunisations.

The Centre also has hireable spaces, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, and Patterson Lakes Library.

Spaces for hire

Expressions of interest are currently open to book Council’s spaces for recurring hire.

Please download our Expression of Interest Venue Hire FAQ before completing the Community Spaces Expression of Interest form.

To enquire about availability for a one-off booking, please email pattersonlakes.cc@kingston.vic.gov.au.

Please note: Venues are not available for 18th and 21st birthday parties.

Main hall

Large hall with retractable stage and commercial kitchen access (hired separately). Suitable for a range of medium-large scale events. Polished floorboards.

Max capacity: 280 people.


Small hall

Small hall with commercial kitchen access (hired separately). Suitable for medium scale events. Polished floorboards.

Max capacity: 40 people.


Multipurpose room

Large room suitable for a range of activities (gentle-exercise, playgroups, small performances) . Carpet and linoleum flooring. Separate toilet including accessible toilet. Tea and coffee facilities.

Max capacity: 60 people.


Meeting rooms x 3

Three small rooms suitable for small meetings with tea and coffee facilities. Connected by operable walls, can be combined into one large meeting room.

Max capacity: 20 people.

Class 2 kitchen featuring:

  • Instant boiling water
  • Microwave convection grill
  • Large electric oven with 6 burner gas stovetop
  • Large fridge freezer
  • Bain-marie

  • 857: Chelsea Railway Station to Dandenong Railway Station via Patterson Lakes (Stop: Patterson Lakes Shopping Centre)
  • 708: Hampton Station to Carrum Station via Highett and Southland and Chelsea Heights (Stop: Corner Lakeview SC/Thompson Road)
  • 833: Frankston Station to Carrum Station via Carrum Downs (Stop: Corner Lakeview SC/Thompson Road).

Parking

The Patterson Lakes Library and Community Centre car park offers 4 15-minute parking spaces, 16 1-hour parking spaces, and 42 4-hour parking spaces. Access is via Thompson Road.

Accessible Parking

Two accessible parking spaces are available in the Patterson Lakes Community Centre car park. They are located near the building entrance.
