Spaces for hire

Expressions of interest are currently open to book Council’s spaces for recurring hire.

Please download our Expression of Interest Venue Hire FAQ before completing the Community Spaces Expression of Interest form.

To enquire about availability for a one-off booking, please email chelseaactivityhub@kingston.vic.gov.au.

Main hall

Large hall with a hardwood floor specifically laid as a dance floor. Full audio/visual set up available as well as access to a commercial kitchen (hired separately). Twelve trestle tables and 100 chairs also available.

Great outlook onto a park with double bi-fold doors that open onto a covered veranda.

Max capacity: 100 people.


Park meeting room

Small meeting room with outlook onto the Park. Kitchenette available for use that contains a microwave oven, Zip hot water tap, and a small fridge that has a freezer section.

Max capacity: 20 people.


Commercial kitchen

Class 2 kitchen featuring:

  • Instant boiling water
  • Microwave oven
  • Large electric oven with 4 stove top plates
  • Large commercial fridge & smaller fridge with freezer section
  • Commercial dishwasher
  • Stainless steel benches
  • Large serving window with access to Main Hall
  • Vinyl flooring
  • Access to pots, pans, trays, and cooking utensils
  • Access to glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, and cutlery
  • Access to urns
  • Air conditioning and heating.

You can travel to Chelsea Activity Hub by train or bus.

Train

Catch the Frankston Line to Chelsea Station (350m from hub).

Bus

The following bus routes all stop at Chelsea Railway Station, a 4 to 5-minute walk from Chelsea Activity Hub.

  • 706: Mordialloc SC to Chelsea Railway Station
  • 857: Chelsea Railway Station to Dandenong Railway Station via Patterson Lakes
  • 858: Edithvale to Aspendale Gardens via Chelsea
  • 902: Chelsea Railway Station to Airport West Shopping Centre (SMARTBUS Service).
