Carols by Kingston is just around the corner and is the perfect excuse to bring your family together and enjoy a night out in Kingston.

This year, we look forward to seeing The Kings of Christmas - Bobby Fox and Rob Mills as MCs and our headliner Silvie Paladino.

The Australian Girls Choir will perform a kid’s show from 6pm.

Join us for an unforgettable night with live performances, kids activities, food stalls, community BBQ from Edithvale Fire Brigade and a magical fireworks finale at 9.15pm.

Santa will make an appearance, and the Kids' Christmas Activity Area (Santa's Workshop) will also be back by popular demand, starting at 5pm.

Carols by Kingston is a free event, but reserved seating is available to purchase for those who like a guaranteed seat for the big night! Seating will be allocated on arrival.

Rob Mills and Bobby Fox, two best friends and two of Australia's most loved performers who bring the cheek, cheer and charm to 'Carols By Candlelight' every year... now bring the party and Christmas classics to you this festive season.

Silvie Paladino
Silvie Paladino has established herself as one of Australia’s most versatile and talented entertainers. Her first theatrical role was Eponine in the Australasian tour of Les Misérables. She was then invited to perform the role on London’s West End. Five years later, she returned to London and performed the role of Fantine.

Silvie’s other credits include Grizabella in Cats, Ellen in Miss Saigon, Donna in Mamma Mia!, Florence in Chess, Clara in Stephen Sondheim’s Passion, Helen Bechdel in Melbourne Theatre Company’s Fun Home, the Fairy Godmother, in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and, most recently, the role of Norma Desmond at select performances in Opera Australia’s production of Sunset Boulevard.

Silvie has appeared in concert with Patrizio Buanne, Michael Bolton and performed with celebrated theatre composers Stephen Schwartz and Stephen Sondheim. She is also well known to Australian audiences through her regular television appearances on Carols by Candlelight.

Australian Girls Choir
For 40 years, the Australian Girls Choir has been proud to play a role in the growth and development of girls across the country; providing high quality performing arts education and exceptional performance opportunities. The AGC has performed to audiences around the world through national and international tours, and have featured in many public performances, including singing alongside Hugh Jackman in his Australian Arena Tour.

A true recognition of the choir's success is their selection by Qantas to represent the 'Spirit of Australia' since 1998 in the hugely successful 'I Still Call Australia Home' advertising campaigns, which have captured the hearts of the nation.

Roscoe James Irwin
Roscoe James Irwin has cemented himself as a kind of musical mastermind in Australia. As a performer, arranger, film composer and producer, he’s become a go-to guy for the likes of Paul Kelly, Passenger, Kate Ceberano, Angus & Julia, Megan Washington, Vance Joy, Robbie Williams, The Hilltop Hoods, Midnight Oil, Harry Connick Jr, Jet, Josh Pyke, The Paper Kites, Tim Rogers, and many more.

Over the last 20 years he’s toured the world as a member of acclaimed Australian live band, ‘The Cat Empire’, and as a solo artist he’s performed at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, The Melbourne International Jazz Festival, The Perth International Jazz Festival, as well as having his songs feature on Australian TV shows ‘Winners & Losers’, ‘House Husbands’, as well as internationally on The History Chanel. 

Nick Roy
Nick Roy is a singer, songwriter, and music producer. He has earned acclaim for his soulful vocals and songwriting, with his music spanning a diverse array of genres and styles. Featured in TV and film, his music has garnered millions of listens on YouTube and Spotify, and his tracks have received high rotation on Triple J. Notably, Nick emerged as a finalist on "The Voice Australia.

He has toured extensively throughout Australia and internationally, sharing the stage with such diverse acts as Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris and The Whitlams. A Kingston local, Nick lives in Bonbeach with his wife and two kids. 

Anna Mallows
Anna, a versatile Melbourne-based singer, dancer, actor, is currently touring Australia with Crossroads Live's musical production of “Grease”.  As well as Dance Captain, covers the roles Patty Simcox, Cha Cha, and Marty. Additionally, Anna has portrayed Lou Ann, in John Frost's Australian tour of “Hairspray” with Crossroads Live, understudying the roles Amber and Velma Von Tussle. She has also performed in The Victorian Opera's production of “The Who's, Tommy”.

In 2023, Anna was featured in the Logie-nominated “Carols by Candlelight” for Channel 9, broadcast live from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. She has also performed with several musical artists and was a cheerleader for both the NBL's Melbourne United and the NRL's Melbourne Storm. Her other notable credits include singing the National Anthem at NBL events, performing at corporate functions with Crown Entertainment, and appearances at the Melbourne Cup, Channel 7, The Today Show, Nickelodeon, the MCG, Caulfield Cup, Myer, AFL events, and Disney Plus.

Anna is thrilled to be performing once again at Kingston Carols.

Nina Ferro

Sammi Palinkas
Rising Australian Country Artist Sammi Palinkas has already made a significant impact on Australia’s country music scene. From winning a national singing competition at eight years old to performing at major televised events like the VFLW Grand Final, her musical journey has taken her across the globe, collaborating with top songwriters and producers in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville, and recognised by organizations like Nashville Songwriters Association and the International Songwriting Competition.

Working with award-winning producer Rod McCormack (known for his work with Paul Kelly, The Wolfe Brothers, and Lee Kernaghan) her debut album is set to be one of 2025’s most anticipated releases.

Sammi’s singles have garnered impressive success. Her debut country single “Meet in the Middle” debuted at #3 on the Australian iTunes Country chart and #8 across All Genres, and she has had multiple Top 10 singles, further cementing her as one of the brightest emerging artists in the genre.

The Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra (MoJO)
The Mordialloc Jazz Orchestra (MoJO) is a contemporary orchestra specialising in classic swing and big band tunes. MoJO play a significant role within the Kingston community, and have supported Carols by Kingston for many years. Originally formed around the time of the First World War, the band was then named the Mordialloc City Band and has been an important part of the local music scene ever since. They have provided the musical accompaniment to many of the major changes that have taken place in Mordialloc for almost a century.

Event information

Where and when is Carols by Kingston?

Carols by Kingston will be held at 5pm to 9:30pm on Sunday 8 December at Bicentennial Park, Thames Promenade, Chelsea.

Kids activities will begin at 5pm.

The fireworks display begins at 9:15pm.

Do I have to buy a ticket?

No, it is a free event. If you would like to purchase reserved seating, you can book online.

Do you have accessible parking bays, toilets and an accessible entry?

Bicentennial Park is wheelchair friendly and consists of accessible footpaths, parking and toilets. If you require any assistance on the day, please speak to the event staff.

Can I bring my dog?

Bicentennial Park is a dog friendly park, however, please be aware there will be fireworks at Carols by Kingston. All dogs must be on lead at all times.

Will there be an AUSLAN interpreter?

Yes, there will be an AUSLAN interpreter, with seating available for those who require access.

Is the event pram-friendly?

Carols by Kingston is pram friendly and Bicentennial Park includes accessible footpaths.

Is there a map?

We do not have an event map, however you can visit our information booth on the day for information.

Will I be photographed or filmed during my visit?

We will have a photographer present on the day, please notify the photographer if you do not wish to be photographed.

How do I perform/get involved at Carols by Kingston?

Our program is full, but please register your interest on our database to be considered for next year.

Is there food available?

Yes, we have a great selection of food and drinks on offer for you. Check out our list of vendors to plan your night!

Please bring a bottle of water and keep it topped up at the free water station on site.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you can BYO food.

How do I get there on public transport?

Bicentennial Park is a 10-15 minute walk from Chelsea Railway Station. 

You can take the 858 bus to the Station St/Thames Pr bus stop and walk 10-15 minutes to Bicentennial Park.

Where do I park?

Free parking will be available on site.

Do I have to pay for admission to go on the amusements rides?

No, the rides are free!

Are there age restrictions on the rides?

There are activities for all ages, please talk to the ride supervisors on the day for ride specific restrictions.
